If your professional activity involves transfers of personal data to third countries<\/strong>, time is running out for your contractual clauses to comply with the GDPR<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Business Adapter\u00ae<\/a> published in September 2021<\/a>, that the European Commission had adopted Implementing Decision 2021\/914<\/a> of 4 June 2021, concerning standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to third countries, consists of a new set of contractual rules for those who make international transfers of personal data to third countries, with the aim of ensuring that there are adequate data protection safeguards in such transfers.\"\"<\/a> of personal data to third countries, with the aim of ensuring that there are adequate data protection safeguards in such transfers.<\/p>\n

Article 4 of Decision 2021\/914<\/a> establishes that any contract intended to regulate the international transfer of personal data must contain the requirements of the new Decision 2021\/914<\/a> and those signed with a previous content will be valid until December 27, 2022 <\/strong>and a new contract will have to be signed with the provisions of Decision 2021\/914 before that date.<\/p>\n

The deadline may be extended until December 27, 2022, only if <\/strong>the international transfer of the data covered by the contract remains unchanged and the content of the contract ensures that the transfer is subject to adequate safeguards.<\/p>\n
