We tell you about it. <\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>WhatsApp in the world except in Europe<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We recall that WhatsApp is one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook&#8217;<\/a>s companies, as is Instagram or Facebook Messenger.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsapp.com\/legal\/updates\/privacy-policy-eea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6209 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/businessadapter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/whatsapp-892926_1920-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"539\" height=\"359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businessadapter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/whatsapp-892926_1920-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/businessadapter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/whatsapp-892926_1920-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/businessadapter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/whatsapp-892926_1920-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/businessadapter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/whatsapp-892926_1920-1536x1023.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/businessadapter.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/whatsapp-892926_1920.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 539px) 100vw, 539px\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/messenger\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook Messenger<\/a> is also.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are a user from outside the European Union and you accept the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsapp.com\/legal\/updates\/privacy-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WhatsApp Privacy Policy<\/a> conditions, you will be accepting, for example, the following:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Sharing WhatsApp data with Facebook and third parties<\/li>\n<li>Processing of transaction and payment account data such as payment method, shipment details and transaction amount<\/li>\n<li>Information will be automatically collected related to messages, groups, calls, statuses, payments and profile picture.<\/li>\n<li>The location of the device can be shared, as well as the user&#8217;s IP.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These changes seem to be part of an overall objective to integrate all user data from Facebook&#8217;s different platforms, understandable from a business perspective, but unacceptable from a user privacy point of view.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong> <\/strong><strong>What is happening in Europe?  <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although the changes to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsapp.com\/legal\/updates\/privacy-policy-eea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WhatsApp&#8217;s Privacy Policy in Europe<\/a> have been minimal, the demonstrations of well-known global figures and hoaxes have caused an unprecedented stampede and although there is no official data from WhatsApp, there is from its direct competitor Telegram, through the voice of its co-founder Pavel Durov, who announced on his own network, that in just 72 hours Telegram gained 25 million users worldwide, already exceeding 500 million.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">WhatsApp is aware of the restrictions that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/doue\/2016\/119\/L00001-00088.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)<\/a> imposes on the processing of personal data of its citizens, which is why they offer their services in Europe (European Union and what they call European Region) through its European subsidiary WhatsApp Ireland Limited, only for European users. Being therefore this organization, subject to <a href=\"https:\/\/businessadapter.es\/servicios\/proteccion-de-datos\/proteccion-datos-valencia\">compliance with data protection regulations, as any company on European Union soil.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although it is true that WhatsApp guarantees in its European privacy policy the <a href=\"https:\/\/faq.whatsapp.com\/general\/security-and-privacy\/end-to-end-encryption\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">end-to-end encryption<\/a> of conversations, photos and content, it is also necessary to know that if the user agrees to make backup copies and chooses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/intl\/es\/drive\/download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Drive<\/a> for it, Google will have access to the content of the copy as it is obvious.
