AEPD sanctions Bankinter

DATA PROTECTION SANCTION TO BANKINTER

Bankinter was sanctioned with 70,000 euros by the AEPD due to the sending of a Monthly Investment Portfolio Report of an individual to a third party without his consent, as a result of an error in the computer system.

This report contained information related to the evolution of its net worth, profitability and portfolio risk, asset distribution charts by risk, currencies and geographical areas, portfolio composition and investment movements.

After Bankinter acknowledged its responsibility for the facts, the sanctioning process was finalized through voluntary payment PS/00421/2021, and the final amount of the sanction was 56,000 euros.
