Iberia sanctioned for not managing its cookies properly
Sanction to Iberia
The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) imposes a penalty of 30,000 euros to Iberia because its cookie policy does not comply with the LSSI.
It all started with a complaint from a user, who argued that the website did not offer the option to reject them.
This complaint occurred on 10/23/2019 therefore the Instruction published by the AEPD in 2019 was in force.
New Cookies Instruction 2020
Let’s remember that there is currently a new Instruction on Cookies published by the AEPD, derived from European guidelines, which all websites must apply by October 31, 2020.
This is the only Instruction on cookies that has been given an effective date, so this date must be taken into account for all websites to be in perfect condition.
